Our Assembly traces its origins back to around 1902, the same year Council 652 was established. In those early days, both councils and assemblies were part of a district that encompassed Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota. This regional structure reflected the growing presence of the Knights of Columbus in the Midwest during the early 20th century.
Our oldest record is a clipping from the Columbiad Supreme magazine of a Fourth Degree exemplification to be held in Omaha on May 8, 1908.
Up until 1950 we were known as the "Omaha Assembly" #652. On April 1, 1950 we became the "Father Michael P. Dowling Assembly, #594.
